~~Hmm.....Well, here's a submission for the Contest....Egyptian themed, obviously. I drew Kagome as Isis, the queen of the Egyptian dieties, and wife of Osiris. Seshy, well, I drew him as Anubis, for the obvious reasons, but also I reaallllllyyyyy wanted to draw the ears....and the egyptian outfits and jewelry....Such prettiness on Seshy..... But yeah, I did lots of research on old Egyptian heiroglyphics and the styles of the clothing and jewelry for this one, and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. As for the pic itself, I thought maybe Isis and Anubis might be doing a traditional dance for the court of the gods or something....or something..... I dunno.....
~~As always, PLEASE FULL VIEW!!!!!
~~Kag's and Seshy do NOT belong to me. ~~~This pic however does.....
Hey! I really like this piece, as usual, but I wanted to point out something I've noticed. You have a good eye for shading, but your figures have a tendency to flatten out a bit. I think if you just pushed the darks and lights, making the lighter areas a little more saturated, you could get some really sculptural forms.
This is, of course, assuming that you are aiming for naturalism. If you're going for a flatter look, then never mind!

Great art does not break with the past. It breaks with the present by emulating the best of the past.
~~Well, with this one I did want to make it look kinda' like an old...uh....I dunno how to explain it, but yeah..... This one was deliberate... But I noticed that when I AM shading I do tend to be more reluctant to use darker shadows and tones.... It's something I need to work on.... ^_^
hummmm... they look like they are getting ready to fight... >,< I'm sorry. >.< Otherwise everything else is love. XD Background rocks, lighting rocks.. you own.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
