~~Okay, here's the finished piece! Not really sure what to say about it, but for those of you who know the book "Tithe" I just wanted to draw a candid moment...that kinda' thing. I thought maybe at the end of the day, poor Roiben would be stressed and knowing Kaye she'd try to cheer him up...Eh...
And Yeah, I know Kaye is supposed to have wings. Didn't feel like drawing them, so pretend she's hiding them with her glamour. Easy.
And you know, it always annoyed me how in other fanart people seem to forget the little teeny tiny fact that Kaye is asian...Hmmmm.....
The hair looks alot better shaded, maybe add a couple strands of shadow to push it a bit further. Also, the shadows under and around her arm bracelet things might be to dark, right now they are among the darkest shadows in the pic. Keep goin strong hon its turnin out great
Im bad at explaining things so I took your image and did a quick paintover of it to show some corrections I would recommend, its in my scrap folder here on DA. Hopefully you dont mind, but Ive had people do this for me and its helped me alot. Other than my recommendations everything else looks really good and the color choices are great Also, the expressions are great as usual
Looks really good. You've got a good sense of scene here. I always imagined Kaye being a little lighter green than that, but that's just my opinion. The only thing I'd change are the angles of the faces. I feel like Roiben should be looking down a little more, as should Kay. Right now their gazes kind of don't meet. *shrugs* not a big thing, though.

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
