The anatomy seems pretty good, but he feels a little stiff/weightless. If you brought his left arm and shoulder up, then brought his body down and curved his spine, it would look more like he was leaning on his arm. Think of it like, his body is dangling from his shoulder, lol. Same with the other arm, it looks a bit like he's holding it up over the serpent's head, so you want to close that gap and displace the muscles to show it's actually laying on it.

One thing I've found incredible useful is, if you lay out the body masses with circles before drawing it, you can map out the weight before you have something you won't want to erase later.

Other than the weight, though, it's really cool! I loved the colors you used for the shading and the snake especially, its face is very serpentine! I really like your style!

~~ Heh heh! Yes, Lukish, I've tried that! (Mapping out the weight with circles...) It doesn't help me place the weight very well; The weight of my drawings always look displaced. I'm trying to figure out another way to do it, something that will work for ME, ya' know? It's frustrating... I need to work on the actual design of the picture. I think if I thought it out more before I started drawing, they would turn out better. See, I don't do thumbnails or anything, usually I just start drawing something and it turns into something else... Anyways... Thanks!

It looks to me as if he's leaning on the serpent. Which looks really cool. And it looks as if the serpent is JUST sticking it's head under his arm and he's making room for it. Like it's his friend or something and you took the picture just before they were really ready.....Awesome!!!

Yeah, I have a character I've been working on for an animation, and it took me forever to get weight into the drawings... I think the circles worked well because I'm doing a more broad style, less realistic, you know? That whole 1940's style of cartooning lends itself to circles... For realistic stuff I always have to pose in the mirror to get anything that looks even vaguely correct, so you're a step ahead of me for whipping something like this out of your head.

Anatomy is going good from what I can tell.. actually its pretty good that you made him look thinner, because my sister and I both agree that Orochimaru probably wouldn't have to much meat on him.
